In the state of Washington, a couple named Jay and Sarah was so shocked to discover that someone hacked their baby monitor and would speak to their 3-year-old son at night. CBS News reports that the hacker seemed to have monitored their activity inside their son’s room and would even speak troubling messages that made their little son so scared. On one occasion, Sarah heard a voice as she was walking inside her son’s room that says, “Wake up little boy, daddy is looking for you.” Only then that the couple discovered that someone hacked into their baby monitor.
Moreover, Jay also heard that same voice as his wife Sarah entered the room. The voice continued on saying, “Look someone’s coming or someone’s coming into view.” With that incident, the couple then immediately contacted the manufacturer, Foscam, to report on the matter. They also warned others of the possible dangers hackers can do to modern gadgetry like the baby monitor. So, it’s always best to ensure protection by changing your password etc.
