Bravo! What a beautiful rendition of the song For Once In My Life sung by the Capital Children’s Choir. This is actually a tribute to Stevie Wonder who also sang that song. That’s awesome. It’s so heartwarming to see kids sing like that, especially in a choir.

I have always been amazed with people who sing as a group. It’s quite difficult to do that compared to solo singing because it involves a lot of work and preparations. You get to conduct auditions for that to complete the desired number of singers to comprise a choir, and then sort them out of who will sing the four basic voice parts. It involves a lot of vocal work outs to start with because not all singers, no matter how excellent they are, are adept to choral singing unless given some proper training.

It’s quite surprising to see that these young people have learned how to harmonize their voice with each others’. It’s a skill that is primarily taught to choral singers because it’s the number one prerequisite if one is to be a choral singer no matter how good he is.

These kids have given the song a new character, from slow to upbeat. They have given it a new life and expression. Hearing it from children really gives anyone a sense of admiration and appreciation, and of course, enjoyment. One of them really caught my attention, it’s the drummer boy. The first time I watched this video and saw him, I said wow, because he’s very little for that but he plays the drums so perfectly. He’s like a professional drummer.

Surely, this video will encourage our youth today to harness their talents and use it to encourage other kids too.
