Pythons are large nonvenomous snakes typically found in tropical and subtropical regions in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific islands. They usually inhabit places near water and have a length ranging from 5 feet to more than 30 feet. In fact, they are considered to be the largest among all snake species.

These serpents are one of the dreaded kinds of animal known to kill and swallow fairly large animals and sometimes even humans. But do you have any idea how they kill their preys? These creatures, including almost all snakes, have the reputation of giving their victims a deadly grip as what you’re about to see on this actual footage, a real-life encounter happened in Karnataka, India.

The unfortunate dog is on a fatal embrace as the python slowly inching its way into squeezing the life out of the pitiful animal with its powerful muscular body. It’s a slow death. There’s little chance of getting out of a python's grip once it catches its prey.

Seeing his dog in great danger, the owner grabs a branch and starts hitting the reptile relentlessly. His action finally disorients it, releasing the dog from sure demise, and the perplexed snake slips back to the forest. The dog quickly regains its strength and will surely be on guard next time to avoid the same awful incident.

Well, being in that kind of situation, not everyone has the nerve to do what the owner did. Others might panic and run out of fear and others might get into a state of shock, just standing there unable to do what he's supposed to do. But thanks to the swift action of this caring owner. He was able to save the life of his faithful companion.
