Do you love puppets or marionettes? If you do, you just have to watch this video. It will definitely take your boredom away.

By the way, marionettes are jointed human or animal figures made out of wood or cloth. Puppeteers animate them with the use of strings attached to each of their body parts.

When I was a child I used to watch kiddie shows on TV. My favorite one was Sesame Street and I know some of you can relate to what I’m sharing. It’s so fun to watch puppets talking with human-like bodily gestures. Some of them, as far as I remember, were Ernie and Bert, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Oscar the grouch, Kermit the frog etc.

Here’s one guy that surely gets everybody’s attention when he’s around. His name is Ricky Syers, a master puppeteer who shows his one-of-a-kind talent to passers-by with his adorable marionette simulating the body language and lifestyle of a real drunkard man as seen on the video. You can’t help but laugh when it walks and sits on a bench like what a real human being does.

When I first watched it, I chuckled when I saw it smoking and drinking as if it’s experiencing a hard time in his life. It was so cool. On-lookers appreciate Syers’ show and give some money putting them in a hat as donations.

I’m just wondering how puppeteers make puppets seem to talk and get busy with the manipulation of the puppets’ bodies simultaneously. An ordinary person may encounter some upfront difficulties or uneasiness doing that stuff in his first try. But I guess it takes a lot of practice to master this kind of art.
