What a performance. At first, when I knew the idea of a human being used as a puppet, it sounded freaky to me. I thought the puppeteer would have used strings too to attach them to the person’s limbs as almost all puppeteers do, but this one is totally different.

You know, it’s quite a mystery to me of how ventriloquists speak without them opening their mouths and yet they are able to aspirate all the words they speak as though they are spoken by their puppets. It’s quite intriguing.

Meet Nina Conti, a ventriloquist with a different kind of twist in her performances. She actually calls someone from the audience to serve as her puppet. She attaches some kind of a mask, a mouth mask to be exact, that she manipulates to make it look like the person wearing it is the one talking.

Whenever Nina does that trick, she could make the entire audience laugh heartily even if the persons wearing the mask don’t agree with what the mouth mask is saying, but anyway, those volunteers are puppets for those shows after all. It’s really funny and definitely entertaining.

We’re not really sure on what other new ideas she will come up with soon to entertain her audience, but I must say, the mouth mask comic acts are so good.
