There's a question I'd like to ask. Are we really content with what we have right now or do we still feel unsatisfied and crave for more? Good self assessment will definitely bring out issues in our hearts that we've never dealt with before. Matters that need to be addressed to really know our hearts' true state.

Most often than not, some of us have that kind of attitude. A desire to have a bit more than what he has rather than be thankful for all the good things that he enjoys in life, always feeling that what he possesses is not enough.

Looking at the reality of life, there are those who are less fortunate who only live in scraps. People who are in dire need of even just a tiny fraction of what others have.

Listen to the statements of an impoverished little girl, they strike right straight to the heart of everyone who hears them. They indeed mirror man’s shortcomings.

“We were patient throughout the revolution, we can still be patient. If you were patient with all the hunger and everything else, you can be patient more.”

“If no one is on our side, God is on our side.”

“We are patient and God will provide a solution.”

“The only thing I say to people is, May you be happy and blessed with what you have.”

Without a doubt, this serves as an eye opener for all of us. Her statements and will to survive encourage us to strong and thankful no matter what happens.

Even if life has been rough on her, she continues to have a good view in life and constantly trusting in God for her provision. She never loses hope.

I suggest it’s time for us to consider changing our ways; it’s a whole lot better than going on living amiss.
