How amazing to watch these little robotic bees in action. I can’t believe it’s happening now, I mean, the futuristic robots that we just normally see in movies. It’s not science fiction anymore, guys. Now, we’re talking about a real deal.

Pollination is the bees’ primary job in the entire ecosystem. These robotic bees were created for the purpose of doing the job of real bees that have not been around because of several reasons. Scientists do not intend to replace natural bees with their robotic counterparts; they only serve as substitutes in the absence of the real ones so as to help nature take its usual course.

These bees are so efficient in many ways such as, facilitating maximized pollination and getting rid of bees’ natural enemies like wasps by automatically spraying insecticide on them. They are battery-operated using solar power and only require minimum maintenance. Unlike real bees, these cute robots are not programmed to harm humans.

Efficient as they are, but sure enough, there are things that these robotic buddies can’t do. They are not capable of producing by-products like honey, bee propolis and bee’s wax. Obviously, since they are robots, they can’t reproduce. But, the good thing about them is they are always readily available and easily activated.

This new technology will surely be a big hit to farmers, not only because of its efficiency but also the enjoyment of having robots do someone else’s job. What a wonderful idea, right?

But this futuristic film was only made for the purpose of making the people think and choose if we want to create a new world with robot bees or save our own bees. Lots of countries are fighting for this campaign to stop the massive killing of bees in the forests and fields. These pollinating insects play a very important role in our lives because a third of the food that we eat depends on them, like fruits, vegetables, and many more.
