I’ve learned something new today. I didn’t know that matches could be used to launch a miniature rocket. I must admit, it’s a very witty idea. In this method, the match head is used because as we know, match heads have that sudden burst of flame characteristic similar to that of real rockets. It’s a very good thing to show to friends and have a good time. The procedure in preparing these cute rockets is just simple. It’s not that complicated. You just have to follow the guy’s instructions on the video to create your own miniature rockets or desktop rockets as what he calls them. The rockets can have a firing distance of up to 40 feet. What’s surprising about this is that you only need just one single match head to launch a rocket. Looking at this demo, I remember some experiments we’ve done in Physics during my high school days. The match head creates a sudden powerful push on the skewer as it ignites. This makes the hollow aluminum rocket to whoosh up. It looks very easy to do, but so clever to have been thought of. It appears to be like kiddy stuff, but it sure is very interesting. I might as well try it myself.
Making these awesome little rockets is fun. It’s likely to build bonds between friends or family members. I’m sure people will gather around you in complete amazement as you light them up and come zooming in the air. Who said that only fireworks can do that effect?
So now, I bet you want to try it too. Just follow the instruction on the video to make your own rocket kit and amaze your friends. I’m sure this will be a hit to everyone who will also see this stuff. They might want to try it as well. Get everything ready and you’re good to go. But please, always observe safety all the time.
