Holy cow! I mean, holy rat! Who would have thought that a dead animal could be turned into a toy helicopter? This is something new. By the way, we’re not talking about Mighty Mouse here, the animal cartoon super hero. We’re talking about a real one. It may not have super strength but it does fly.

It’s unusual to see such a thing, but you know, you can’t keep anybody from innovating.

It’s true that some people treat their pets as part of the family. They love them as they do with their human loved ones. Others pay special tributes or conduct funeral services for their pets and grieve as if they’ve lost a family member. Weird as it looks, but it’s what it is. We can’t judge them for doing so.

A 13-year-old Dutch boy, Pepeijn Bruins, so loves his pet rat so much that even if it’s already dead, he thought of a way to make it linger around still. He contacted two Dutch inventors known for their extraordinary stuffed animal handiworks to work on his dead pet, and there it is. They’ve created a flying rat or ratcopter as what they call it.

Regarding this matter, Pepeijn also has his own way of honoring his dead pet rat by turning it into a ratcopter. Well, it’s a perfect idea for him because he gets to play and enjoy his pet’s company again like what it did when it was still living.

Weird stuff huh, but we’re talking about emotions here, an issue of the heart. It’s so hard to lose someone or something that you’ve learned to love and value, isn’t it?
