It’s a very pleasant sight to see people helping others even those who are at the edge of giving up in this life. People who are at the end of their ropes and thereby resort to taking their own lives.
But through it all, God uses other people to save such dejected hearts to let them see the brighter side of life, that suicide is not a good option. And one of those wingless angels God sends is Darnell Barton, a bus driver from Buffalo, New York. The entire incident was caught on film and happened on October 29, 2013.
As he drives on his usual route, he sees a woman at the ledge of a bridge obviously contemplating on committing suicide. The Good Samaritan cares to stop to reach out to the woman and eventually persuades her to get off the ledge. The passengers seriously watched the entire drama and gave the pendekar driver a loud applause for his good deed.
Not all people have that kind of heart. If you’ll notice the actual video footage, before Barton’s bus passed where the woman was, there were people who just passed her by. It’s so sad that they didn’t even care to give her any encouragement at all to appease her gloomy heart nor persuade her to stop what she was about to do.
Well, I guess we can’t judge anyone for that matter. The good thing is that the woman is safe and I believe she not only received encouragement but some help from Barton and the passengers.
We just hope and pray that people would begin to have a change of heart as they watch this video.
