Wow! What a performance. It really blew me away. What can I say? They’re so, so, so good. I am a trained singer myself with developed musical ears, so to speak. And I can really tell if someone is gifted in singing or not. But these two children…oh, my goodness, they are not only good and talented, but two of the best that I have ever heard in my life. Even at a young age, they already have developed an exemplary vocal techniques and perfect voice modulation. Well, I don’t know with the judges. But if I were only there as one of the judges, I might have suggested that the competition was over, and that there’s already a winner.
If you search on YouTube, you can find a lot of things like this. I mean kids displaying unusual talents. And I must say that these two Chinese kids are one of the creams of the crop. Maybe some of us are quite particular not only with good voice, but also by the emotion the singers impart to the audience. And I was moved as I first watched this video. I could feel the soul of the song in them. You watch the video and I believe you would agree to what I’m saying. Look at the members of the audience. Some wide-eyed and some are in awe. I can’t blame them because those are natural human reactions to something beyond the ordinary.
You know what? I’m beginning to pray to have children like these two kids, talent wise. I’m not quite sure if this is a Chinese version of a “Got Talent” show or what. It looks like it. But whatever it is, in my opinion, it’s really a must to have these kinds of talent shows to discover people’s talents that have long been kept, and that are worthy to be given a big break in their lives.
